Assassin

One of the deadliest covert agents in the world, Belladonna has proven herself a most capable spy and killer for the Resistance. Though her past is a well kept secret, Belladonna makes it clear that she has no love for Tyrant or his lackeys. Rumors abound that she was trained by Chimera, Tyrant's Praetor of Intelligence, and is widely considered the deadliest assassin in the world. Belladonna will one day put that title to the test.

Initial Contact

The following story arc takes place after the events of Dark Astoria and the Dilemma Diabolique trial.

Character, I'm glad you contacted me. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Belladonna Vetrano, assassin and lieutenant for the Resistance. I'm working with Desdemona and Aurora Borealis towards our final push against the Praetors. You see, the power is in the hands of the Resistance now.

Unfortunately, the Resistance has become somewhat... split, due to the revelation regarding Calvin Scott's insanity.

However, we can't let that get us down. We have the Praetors on the run. There is one last one that we need to deal with: Praetor Sinclair. Are you ready?

The Emperor's Sword

Belladonna Vetrano of the Resistance asked for your help in taking down Praetor Sinclair. You stormed his skyscraper and rescued Provost Marchand, who informed you that Sinclair and Black Swan left on a mission to revive Shadow Hunter and retrieve Excalibur.

You went to Night Ward to stop Shadow Hunter's revival, but were too late. You were able to track Shadow Hunter to the Midnighter Mansion, where you and Pendragon fought against the beast. Pendragon was also looking for Excalibur and promised to help fight against Cole should he retrieve it.

The two of you fought against the Black Knights to obtain an amulet needed to summon the Lady of the Lake. The sword and the Lady of the Lake were in Night Ward, but had become corrupted by the area, a fact Pendragon discovered after the cursed sword took him over. Black Swan was now in control of 'Nega-Pendragon' and ordered him to kill you while she attacked the Carnival of Light. You were able to fight off Nega-Pendragon and found out from Belladonna that several allies of the Resistance held off Black Swan.

Belladonna explained that Nega-Pendragon and Sinclair were now in Imperial City, working together to push back the invasion front. You made your way into Imperial City to help shift the tide in favor of the Resistance while helping Desdemona recover the 'good' Pendragon. You also did battle with Praetor Sinclair, forcing him to flee and relinquish Imperial City over to the forces of Primal Earth and the Resistance.

Now, all that remains of Tyrant's regime is in the Magisterium, where Cole himself awaits...

Emperor Cole's Personal Story

Emperor Cole spent his final moments before the final battle for Praetoria reflecting on the events that led him to this moment. He had some regrets, of course; mainly the fact that those who were powerful enough to maintain power in Praetoria were too drunk on power to care for the people.

Emperor Cole regretted the fact that after everything that he went through to establish Praetoria, its safety was left to him, Sinclair, a shadow knight, a harlot, and a hunter. Sinclair informed Cole that Recluse and his forces were marching on the main square of the Magisterium.

Wasting no time, Emperor Cole went outside to deal with the full force of Arachnos - alone. Despite Recluse's confidence, Emperor Cole utterly demolished the forces of Arachnos, whose leaders retreated before Cole could kill them.

Now, Emperor Cole returns to his tower to make his final preparations, while the remaining defense forces prepare for the full onslaught of Primal Earth's invasion.
