Some Task Forces and Strike Forces for Heroes and Villains have an extra badge associated with them. Attaining these badges usually requires completing the Task/Strike Force with extra limitations on the group. Currently the Task/Strike Forces where the "Master of" designation can be earned are:

==Overview==
Some Task Forces and Strike Forces and Trials have an extra Accolade badge associated with them for either completing the Task/Strike Force with certain limitations, or, by collecting a set of Achievement Badges that can be obtained within the Task/Strike Force. These Accolades are entitled "Master of [name of] Task/Strike Force" and are thus referred to as "Master of" badges.

== How to Get ==
The following Task/Strike forces grant a selection of "Master of" Accolades for completing the Task/Strike force with the ''No Deaths'' and ''No Temporary Powers'' settings from the Task Force difficulty adjuster window along with additional challenge settings. The Team Leader has access to this window when the Task/Strike Force is started. The challenge icons (i.e. ''No Death'' and ''No Temporary Powers'') should show under each teammate's status bar if selected correctly.  Setting a time challenge and its success or failure has no impact on the "Master of" success.

<DD>Successfully complete the Statesman Task Force with challenge settings of zero defeats and no Temporary Powers (Note that the Power of the Thorn temporary power attained during the Task Force will still be usable even under these settings).


<DT>[[Master of the 5th Column Task Force Badge]]
If a death of a team member occurs, then that challenge fails and the "Master of" Accolade will not be granted. However, the team can still continue to finish the Task/Strike force as normal (but still no access to Temporary Powers) and will have access to the enhanced rewards that come with the challenge settings. The Reward Merit choice works like any other TF and will only reward half the value when claimed more than one time per 20 hours per challenge tier. Uncommon Alpha components (located under the True Master rewards) can only be claimed once every 72 hours.  
<DD>Successfully complete the Kahn Task Force with challenge settings of zero defeats and no Temporary Powers (Note that the temporary powers attained during the Task Force will still be usable even under these settings).


<DT>[[Master of Lord Recluse's Strike Force Badge]]
Completing the Secret Master challenge, including zero defeats, awards a [[:Category:Secret_Master_Enhancements|Secret Master]] enhancement (dependent on which TF) even if not selected as the reward, and an additional enhancement is awarded (even if the attempt included a defeat) when the Task Force is the Weekly Strike Target (even when not selected as the reward, provided the character has not already completed a weekly strike target).

Overview

These Accolades are entitled "Master of [name of] Task/Strike Force" and are thus referred to as "Master of" badges.

No Deaths, No Temporary Powers

The following Task/Strike forces grant a selection of "Master of" Accolades for completing the Task/Strike force with the No Deaths and No Temporary Powers settings from the Task Force difficulty adjuster window along with additional challenge settings. The Team Leader has access to this window when the Task/Strike Force is started. The challenge icons (i.e. No Death and No Temporary Powers) should show under each teammate's status bar if selected correctly. Setting a time challenge and its success or failure has no impact on the "Master of" success.

If a death of a team member occurs, then that challenge fails and the "Master of" Accolade will not be granted. However, the team can still continue to finish the Task/Strike force as normal (but still no access to Temporary Powers) and will have access to the enhanced rewards that come with the challenge settings. The Reward Merit choice works like any other TF and will only reward half the value when claimed more than one time per 20 hours per challenge tier. Uncommon Alpha components (located under the True Master rewards) can only be claimed once every 72 hours.

Completing the Secret Master challenge, including zero defeats, awards a Secret Master enhancement (dependent on which TF) even if not selected as the reward, and an additional enhancement is awarded (even if the attempt included a defeat) when the Task Force is the Weekly Strike Target (even when not selected as the reward, provided the character has not already completed a weekly strike target).

Note that Temporary Powers granted from and during the Task/Strike Force do continue to work throughout the Task/Strike force even when under the limitation of No Temporary Powers.

Higher challenge tiers will award the lower tier challenge badges except for the original "Master of" badges (apparently because "No Temporary Powers" is a different challenge setting than "No Incarnate and Temporary Powers".
