No Vendor Purchase
Overview
Most recipes can be purchased at one or more vendor types in the game. Occasionally there is no vendor purchase available for a recipe. Note that the recipe lists are not always the same between the vendor types; a recipe may not be available from one vendor but is available from another.
Issue 13 brought the Merit Rewards system, where Invention System recipes can be purchased at a Merit Vendor. However, not all recipes can be purchased there.
Issue 18/Going Rogue introduced Alignment Merits, obtained via Morality Missions and traded in at Fort Trident (Heroes) and The Crucible (Villains).
Issue 20 introduced the Incarnate System and Incarnate Trials, allowing player characters to become more power and advance beyond level 50. Introduced with these trials were two new high-end rewards, Astral Merit Salvage and Empyrean Merit Salvage, spent at Astral Christy and Empyrean Michael in Ouroboros.
