You find an odd circle with a small button on it. Upon pressing the button, a small holographic image springs to life - and it's an image of you!

'Character, listen to me. I am you from many years in the future. I have spent nearly all of my incalculable power to send this message back in time so that you can correct the one critical flaw that I - you - made in my - our - master plan'.

Deep down inside, you know that the person you're seeing might truly... be you. And if it is - and in the future you can span time and space - then you MUST know what that mistake is... and see to it that you never make it!

WARNING: This is a Morality Mission. Completing this mission will change your alignment to Villain. Becoming a Villain means you will be unable to travel to Paragon City. Any ties to the heroic world will be lost.

'Crey Industries has a secret lab that they are using to conduct experiments on the time-space continuum. I found it many centuries ago, and this is where I - you - would begin forming your - my - master plan. Within the lab are three matrices they're using to open rifts in time. Encoded in this message are three keycodes that will locate me - you - in the past - er - in your future.

You MUST know what you did wrong or EVERYTHING will be ruined!

It is good to look upon a person again after all these millennia, even if it is only myself from the past. I knew you would be able to find me. You were the one who contacted me, weren't you? Yes, it was I. I am you from thousands of years in the future. Or rather, you're me from thousands of years in the past. It required the power of a god to break the timestream to get you this message, and a god I am. You mean... I'm a god in the future? Not 'a' god. The only god.
