Briefing

Character, I don't believe I properly introduced myself. But perhaps you already know who I am and are planning to kill me. Nevertheless, good manners should at least be shown by the true patriots of the country. I am Agent Keith Nance, an agent of S.A.M.

Now that we have that out of the way, it's time to get down to business. You've already been... briefed on the situation. 'You' have been sighted in Faultline, causing chaos. Specifically, it appears that you've captured the Faultline Dam with a group of Freakshow.

What we need you to do is get to that dam and save it from... yourself.

We've got a Wyvern agent in there who can debrief you on the situation. If you're really on our side, of course.

If not, well, then we'll know when we find the agent's dead body.

• Funny, Nance. I'll get to the dam and put and end to this.

Take this earpiece. It will allow me to talk to you while you're away. It also gives me a small view of the area you're in.

If you're not who you really say you are, I'll know right away - and I'll be ready.

Character, I still need you to get that agent for me. Unless you're planning on revealing that this was all an elaborate ploy?

Mission Objective(s)

The Freakshow have taken over this part of the dam. Time to take it back.

• Stabilize the situation at the Faultline Dam
  • Find the Wyvern Agent
  • 3 bombs to disarm
  • Take down Gnarler, your double's henchman

It looks like the person pretending to be you managed to get away while you were defusing those bombs. You may not know the true identity of your double, but you were able to prevent the dam from being destroyed.

You should contact Agent G to see if he knows what's going on here.

NOTE: Upon entry, most enemy spawns will be friendly. They will become hostile when Gunmetal is defeated.

Field Agent Keith Nance: This is Keith, Character. Huh, looks like the Freaks aren't attacking you. Must think you're the other Character. Unless you really are him/her. Let's just say I would bet you're fooling everyone.

Frustrated Freakshow Dialogue
Friendly Enforcer Smasher: Man, I don't wanna have to set those bombs up again. Character ever think how hard it is to set up bombs when you're Freakshow?! Metal Swiper: It's ridiculous that we have to do something other than smash. Hostile Metal Swiper: You're a weirdo, Character, but we're okay with smashing you if you want it!

Confused Freakshow Dialogue
Friendly Mad Freak Slammer 1: I'm digging this whole destruction thing, but this guy/gal is weird.! Mad Freak Slammer 2: Yeah tell me about it, wants us to help blow up the dam, right after I hear that he/she arrested one of us a week ago! Hostile Mad Freak Slammer 1: You're crazier than we are, Character.

Excited Freakshow Dialogue
Friendly Metal Smasher: Character is totally gonna help us cause some real chaos! Hostile Metal Smasher: I guess this counts as something REALLY chaotic!

Subdued Wyvern Agent
On Rescue: This makes no sense, but my mission is to observe, not understand. I'll make sure to note your aberrant behavior, Character.

Gnarler
On Spawn: I don't get why you want me to beat you up, but here goes. First Blood: You're freakier than we are, you know that? 75% health: Just to let you know, I'm not judging you, okay? 50% health: It's your money. You want me to beat you, I will. 25% health: Weirdest way to make a buck, I'm telling you. Near Defeat: What's the deal? You were the one that wanted to get clobbered, not me!

Field Agent Keith Nance: Situation's disarmed. Good work, Character. I've got reports that a man named Agent G saw the 'other' 'you' in Faultline. If I were you, I'd get in touch with him.
