Overview

Kinetic Assault is a secondary powerset for Dominators and a primary powerset for Guardian.

"Through manipulation of latent energy present all around you, you create powerful blasts and forceful blows that can prove devastating to your opponents. As you manipulate this energy, you will accumulate impulse. Each stack of impulse grants a scaling recharge buff. Impulse is also used to empower Disrupting Torrent, Kinetic Shockwave, Energetic Strike, and Mass Driver"

The Kinetic Assault power set is available as a primary set for Guardians and a secondary set for Dominators. The following table shows the level at which each power is available:

KineticAssault CrushingBlast.png Crushing Blast

You form the potential energies around you into a concentrated blast of surging energy aimed at a single target. This causes high smashing and energy damage on contact and reduces the target's movement and recharge speed slightly. The force of the impact can cause some lethal damage over time. Crushing Blast awards 1 stack of Impulse.

KineticAssault DisruptingTorrent.png Disrupting Torrent

You form the potential energies around you into a cone of surging energy that crashes into the foes in front of you. This torrent causes moderate smashing and energy damage on impact, and has a chance to knock affected targets down. Affected targets will also have their regeneration rate reduced slightly. Disrupting Torrent consumes all stacks of Impulse and its knockdown chance, damage and regeneration debuff scale with the number of consumed stacks. If used when you have 5 stacks of Impulse, this power has a chance to immediately refresh Coalescence.

You form the potential energies around you into a massive surge of force that empowers your fists to deliver a devastating blow to a single target. This blow causes extreme smashing and energy damage on impact and will reduce the target's damage. The force from this power's impact is so great that it is likely to disorient most foes. Energetic Strike consumes all stacks of Impulse and its damage debuff and damage scale with the number of consumed stacks. If used when you have 5 stacks of Impulse, this power's stun effect will last long and Energetic Strike has a chance to immediately refresh Coalescence.

KineticAssault KineticLance.png Kinetic Lance

You form the potential energies around you into a lance of energy that you fire at a single target. This lance pierces the target, causing an initial burst of extreme energy and lethal damage that then causes a minor amount of damage over time. Affected foes will also have their movement speed and recharge rate reduced for a short time. Kinetic Lance awards 3 stacks of Impulse if the interruptible version is used, if instant-cast this power will award 2 stacks of Impulse. This is a sniper attack, and is best fired from a distance, as it can be interrupted. If you have more than 97% To-Hit, this attack becomes instant-cast.

This shockwave causes moderate smashing and energy damage on impact and reduces the damage of affected foes. The force of the impact may knock affected targets down. Kinetic Shockwave consumes all stacks of Impulse and its knockdown chance and damage scale with the number of consumed stacks. If used when you have 5 stacks of Impulse, this power has a chance to stun nearby foes and has a chance to also immediately refresh Coalescence.

KineticAssault MassDriver.png Mass Driver

You form the potential energies around you into a concentrated mass aimed at a single target. This causes superior smashing and energy damage on impact and reduces the target's movement and recharge speed. The force of the impact causes light lethal damage over time. If you have less than 5 stacks of Impulse, Mass Driver will award 2 Impulse. If you have 5 stacks of Impulse this power will deal additional damage and reduce the target's smashing, lethal and energy resistance moderately for a short time and this power will also have a small chance to recharge Coalescence.
