Overview
DATA is the Department of Advanced Technology Application, a division of the Paragon City government that researches and investigates technical issues. It is one of five organizations that formerly served as the initial contact point for new heroes. The DATA office in Atlas Park is led by Rick Davies, one of the first heroes to use powered armor but since retired through injury. The office in Galaxy City was led by Caitlin Murray-Davies, a computer genius who specializes in man-machine interfaces and cybernetics. After the destruction of that zone in Issue 21, Caitlin was "rescued" and relocated to the Atlas Park office.
