Overview
City of Villains was a Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG). It was created by Cryptic Studios and was developed and published by NCsoft through Paragon Studios. PlayNC managed all operations of the game, including the game servers and player accounts.
History
City of Villains was released on October 27, 2005, as part of the City of Villains 3-day Head Start and in conjunction with the tie-in City of Heroes free issue release, Issue 6. Players owning the City of Villains Pre-Order could play the game during the Head Start period, and reserve names for characters before the official launch.
The game officially launched on Halloween, October 31, 2005.
