Void Ripper

Overview

Void Ripper is a NPC ally you can find during the mission Break prisoners out of the Zig from Operative Wellman (CoV, levels 15 - 20). He is one of the prisoners you must help to break free out of the Zig. He will be in a cell guarded by a Private Security Captain when you find him first, and must be freed so he can help you. Once free, he will follow you and will attack any Longbow soldier or prison guard in his aggro range. Longbow will send at least three waves of attackers against you once you free him.

During my mission, Void Ripper had Pet class and hit points. He used a mix of Dark Blast and Dark Melee attacks and I never saw him activate any secondary defensive powers.

Remember that at least one of the prisoners must reach the helicopter outside, so he's one of the possible mission objectives, and must survive.

Quotes

Void Ripper seems pretty friendly, for a villain:

Once free: Alright. Let's bust outta this joint!
At the mission exit: Sweet freedom!

Information

Void Ripper is a villain with a reputation for viciousness. He's been tossed in the Zigursky prison on assault charges numerous times.

Powers

During my mission, he used Dark powers:

Powers

Gloom (Ranged) Damage over Time, Negative, Foe -Accuracy
Gloom slowly drains a target of life and reduces his chances to hit. Slower than Dark Blast, but deals more Damage over Time.

Siphon Life Melee, Negative, Foe -Accuracy, Self +HP
Void Ripper taps the powers of the netherworld to steal life from a target foe and transfer some of it to himself. Siphon Life can sometimes miss more often than normal since a good contact with the foe must be established for a sucessful transfer to occur. A sucessful hit can reduce the target´s accuracy.

Life Drain Ranged, Negative, Foe -Accuracy, Self + Hit Points
Void Ripper taps the powers of the netherworld to steal some life from a target foe and reduce his chance to hit. Some of that life is then transferred to Void Ripper.

Shadow Punch Melee Smash/Negative, Low Damage, Foe -Accuracy
A basic punch draws power from the netherworld. Shadow Punch deals moderate damage and reduces the target´s accuracy.

Smite Melee, Smash/Negative, Moderate Damage, Foe -Accuracy
More powerful version of Shadow Punch, Smite deals more damage, but takes longer to recharge. Like Shadow Punch, Smite can reduce the target's accuracy.
