Tyranny Legion

The Tyranny Legion is a villain group that appeared in the novel The Freedom Phalanx.

In 1986 the Tyranny Legion attempted to take over Paragon City by manipulating the emotions of the citizens so they could get their candidate elected for mayor. The Legion consisted of Lord Recluse, Dr. Null, Revenant, Protean, and The Shadow Queen. The Tyranny Legion was defeated by the Freedom Phalanx of the era.

Lord Recluse

Lord Recluse was once a friend to Statesman, but is now his mortal enemy. For more information, see his main article Lord Recluse.

Protean

Protean is a shape shifting villain that has been active for decades, and is Manticore's nemesis. For more information, see main article Protean.

Dr. Null

Rudolph Bein was originally a scientist working for Crey Labs and project supervisor for Positron. When Steve Barry discovered that Bein was working on several under the table projects, he tried to inform his superiors at Crey. Bein abducted Synapse and his friend Diego and experimented on them as revenge. Steve was turned into Synapse and Diego was turned into Revenant. Bein escaped the authorities and used a stolen prototype of Positrons armor to become Dr. Null. However Bein quickly became trapped in the armor and blames Positron for his imprisonment.

Revenant

Diego used to work for Crey Labs with his friend Steve Barry. However after he discovered some accounting irregularities in Dr Null's project, he was abducted by Dr Null and transformed into Revenant. Now Diego wants revenge on Steve because he blames him for his current state.

Shadow Queen

Caroline Rossdale was a college student who excelled at manipulating men. When a professor gave her the mask containing Giovanna Scaldi she became the Shadow Queen. Now she has become a motivational speaker and media giant wanting to take control of Paragon City.
