Playing the Sides (30-39)

Rogue Morality Mission

You receive a message from one of your contacts within the Isles, saying that a woman has been asking around for your services. You show some interest and get some more information - it leads to you receiving a personal message from this woman, who goes by the name of 'Swift Cut'.

Dear Character-

I hope this message finds you well. Your contact spoke very highly of your abilities - I am hoping to hire you for aid. I am...was a member of the Whispering Hand, a group of assassins led by Silent Blade. However, I have no wish to be with them anymore - I never wished to be part of them in the first place! Everything was forced upon me - my membership, my training, all of the deeds I've done.

I am currently looking for passage into Paragon, where I have been guaranteed safety by the PPD. There is a route through the sewer system out into Faultline, but I fear if I move, the Whispering Hand will cut me down.

I am willing to pay however much you need in order to ensure your services. Please send this message back as soon as possible - I do not have very long. Thank you.

-Swift Cut.

You've heard a bit about the Whispering Hand - an up and coming group that has been appearing more and more in the news since Silent Blade officially took them over. You don't really care too much about why this person wants out - mainly that this would be a good moment to make yourself some money. They say the Whispering Hand are tough, but nothing will stand between you and a good payday - if you're willing, that is.

WARNING: This is a Morality Mission. Completing this mission will change your alignment to Rogue. Being a Rogue means you will be able to move between Paragon City and the Rogue Isles.

  • Contact Swift Cut to take the job!

WARNING: This is a Morality Mission. Completing this mission will change your current alignment of Villain to Rogue, removing any progress you may have made on any other alignment.

Are you sure you want to do this?

  • Contact Swift Cut to take the job!

Briefing

You send a message back to Swift Cut saying that you're in on the deal, along with stating how much money you'll be requiring from her for the job to be done.

She contacts you shortly afterwards, informing you that she has already begun to make her way into the sewers, thinking you would not show up - however she has run into the Whispering Hand and is currently on the run from them!

She has found somewhere to hide for now, but will not last very long with the group on her tail.

WARNING: This is a Morality Mission. Completing this mission will change your alignment to Rogue. This means that the people of Paragon City and the Rogue Isle will no longer see you as a Villain. Becoming a Rogue means you will be able to move between Paragon City and the Rogue Isles.

  • Rescue Swift Cut and get her to Faultline!

You tell Swift Cut to stay where she is, saying that you'll be there right away.

You'll have to hurry before the Whispering Hand gets her - once that happens, you can say goodbye to your payday!

Unnecessary Solicitation

No one has any patience in this town anymore.

Mission Objective(s)

You've made your way into the sewers beneath Paragon City - why exactly Swift Cut decided to use this path is beyond you, but that doesn't matter right now.

You see up ahead that Swift Cut is surrounded - looks like members of the Tsoo are being used as the footsoldiers for the Whispering Hand!

  • Get Swift Cut into Paragon City!
    • Save Swift Cut!
    • Speak with Swift Cut
    • Get Swift Cut to the docks
    • Speak with Silent Blade
    • Signal the PPD submarine!
    • Fight back the Whispering Hand!
    • Face off against Silent Blade one last time!
    • Speak with Silent Blade

Swift Cut is now safe with the PPD, you have your payment, and Silent Blade doesn't seem like she's out to kill you anymore. Finally, some people get the idea of what 'just business' means!
