Issue 5

Overview

Issue 5, titled Forest of Dread, was a major revision to City of Heroes released on Wednesday, August 31, 2005. Some of the major features released in this issue were:

• The addition of the Croatoa zone
• The addition of The Cabal, the Fir Bolg, and the Tuatha de Dannan enemy types
• The addition of the Archery, Trick Arrows, Sonic Blast, and Sonic Debuff powersets
• The addition of the Hellion Arson and Troll Rave zone events
• The reduction of debt while acquired inside missions, and the delay of debt acquisition for defeats until level 10
• The addition of kidnapping mission types and villain ambushes within missions
