Overview

Ascendants are a sub group of the Council faction. They are the personal guard of the Council leader, the mysterious Center.

The Ascendants are chosen first and foremost for their loyalty. Extensive background checks and multiple mental and physical tests of loyalty are performed on every candidate. Once a member of the Council has been accepted as a potential Ascendant they are put through a rigorous training program that teaches them combat, bodyguarding, and security techniques as well as testing their resolve. After successfully completing the training phase, a final personal interview with the Center is the make or break moment for any aspiring Ascendant. If they pass, they’re accepted into an elite force within the ranks of the Council, if not they are removed from the organization entirely. ([1])

Sonic Blast (Ranged, Energy) Foe -Resistances (All but Psionics)
The Blast from the Sonic Rifle has reduced you Resistance to all damage types except Psionics.

No Melee attacks No Hand to Hand
Ascendants don´t have any Melee attacks at all

Shield Toggle: Invulnerable, +Regeneration, +Recovery
Ascendants can put up a Superior Personal Force Field that makes them Invulnerable and increases their Regeneration and Recovery Rate. They cannot move or attack while this power is active.

Detention Field Capture (Special)
You are Encased in a Detention Force Field. You cannot be harmed, but you are Immobilized, and cannot attack or aid his allies. You can, however, use powers on yourself.

Protection Shield Ranged, Ally +Defense (Fire, Cold, Energy, Negative)
Dramatically protects an ally from Fire, Cold, Energy, and Negative Energy attacks for a limited time. Multiple shields from the same hero cannot be stacked; however, the shield can be improved when another hero uses the same power. Can also be used in conjunction with your Deflection Shield. You cannot use this power on yourself. Recharge: Very Fast.

Creates a large bubble which protects all allies inside. While active, the Dispersion Bubble gives all allies within increased defense against all attacks except Psionic. The Dispersion Bubble also protects allies from Immobilization, Disorient, and Hold effects. Recharge: Slow
