These horrible things are an amalgamation of human corpses and some sort of weird sentient goo from beyond the stars. These Shivans seem to come from the newly crashed meteors in Galaxy City. Their appearance is clearly different from that of the Shivans in Bloody Bay, but whether or not that is due to where they landed is up for debate.
